THE 4 CORE THINGS WE DO AT POTSC

People of the Second Chance started with the simple idea of unleashing radical grace in our lives, leadership and relationships.

So that's nice but now what? And how are you going to do that?

Over the past few months, I've been in a bunch of meetings with REALLY SMART people from all over the country figuring out these key next steps.

Working on clarity. Defining focus. Coming up with a strategy that leads people to credible action around the topics of grace and failure.

We want to become the hub and warehouse of all things second chances.

We're not done with this process and we are still baking a lot of items in the POTSC kitchen, but this will give a general outline of what we're doing.

1. PRODUCE SECOND CHANCE TOOLS AND RESOURCES

POTSC generates tools, resources, curriculum and provocative content that moves the heart, soul and lifestyle. We are the curator and developer of comeback tools for individuals and organizations. This would include assessment tools, curriculum, POTSC processes, video, technology, books and other resources.

2. CREATE SECOND CHANCE ADVOCATES AND FACILITATE ACTION ORIENTED COMMUNITY

Raise up and mobilize people to adopt POTSC values into their lifestyle and have them express them on a daily basis. Grace should not be silent. We leverage our community to amplify the positive voice of comebacks and the failed. We want passionate involvement and contribution to be made by members who identify themselves with our organization. We equip our people to advocate for change and develop a clear path of action for our members.

3. ELEVATE AND LEGITIMIZE NEW CONVERSATIONS ABOUT GRACE IN THE PUBLIC FORUM

We are passionate and active in shaping a new dialogue about second chances, grace and failure. We offer a strong counterpoint to the "vulture culture" perspective and offer up a new way to think and live. We do this through producing content, speaking, events, articles/opinions, rebuttals, PR and through the media.

4. STRATEGIC AND SPIRITUAL COUNSEL FOR INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS OR COMEBACKS

We engage individuals who have experienced a crisis or failure and help lead them out of the wilderness. We seek to reduce personal and organizational loss or damage during a crisis and help expedite a healthy recovery and restoration. We leverage our relationships, knowledge and experience and offer guidance to individuals and their impacted relationships. POTSC also works with the impacted organization at their request.

So that's the basic outline of what were doing around here!

We have a lot of work to do. We're just getting started. And we want and need you to become a significant part of this mission.
