So let's put ugly politics aside for just a minute and deal with this beautiful truth:

PRESIDENT OBAMA IS POTSC.

This week he placed a phone call to Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie thanking him for giving Michael Vick a second chance.

While on vacation in Hawaii, the president gave a virtual fist bump to Lurie for sticking his neck out for Vick after the dog fighting scandal.

Lurie told Sports Illustrated reporter Peter King that Obama said, "So many people who serve time never get a fair second chance," and that the President was "passionate about it."

He congratulated the Eagles owner for "doing something on such a national stage that showed our faith in giving someone a second chance after such a major downfall.''

The White House verified the statements and the conversation.

Maybe this is why Barack Obama was just voted the most admired man in the world.

He certainly has my admiration on lending his platform to the message of second chances and giving support to Michael Vick.
