Why We Shouldn't Give Up On Our Goals

By Kaley Thompson

We all have goals and things we want to accomplish. We all get a little let down when we come so close to reaching them and yet don’t quite make it.

What do we do when we feel like our goals are just out of reach and we want to throw in the towel? How do we react when our hard work isn't rewarded? Keep going.

Someone once stated “Keep the faith. The most amazing things in life tend to happen right at the moment you’re about to give up hope.”  So, this really tough chapter in your life maybe the breakthrough your second chance story needs. The endless hours working on a project.  The relentless pursuit of your spouse.  The hope you share with a hopeless friend.  Right at that moment you feel weak and want to quit is when God's strength starts to shine through you.

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded (2 Chronicles 15:7).”  You may not have accomplished what you've wanted to by now.  Life might not look like you think it should. However, there will come a time where you’ll be rewarded for persevering through the hard stuff.  God has something so great up his sleeve for your invested time and energy.

When you're not quite reaching your goals, have hope. Stay strong. And keep going.
