Remarkable Things You Can Do With Your Routine

By Kaley Thompson Did you know that you can use a routine activity to do something remarkable?  Like buying an ice cream cone for the person behind you in line.  Helping that lady out in the grocery store.  Even doing your chores can create the opportunity to change your world.  Yes, something awesome can come out of doing those awful chores. Here’s how.

Rodney Smith, Jr., a college student at Alabama A & M, transformed his cutting the grass routine into an audacious way to teach boys how to become virtuous men.

Last fall, Smith set a goal to cut 100 yards before winter for single moms, the elderly and disabled according to GoodNewsNetwork.org. A local news station picked up on his random acts of kindness and gifted him with $300, which Smith reinvested into the community to meet another need.

Smith launched Raising Men Lawn Care Services so that teen boys could learn “a sense of accomplishment, self-esteem, moral value and purpose in themselves.”

Some of the greatest miracles in our lives come to us in mundane moments, dressed like chores. They might seem like we’re doing something we do every day. They may even be boring or bland.

However, when we choose to give God our to-do list, He can check off some amazing things. Our little lives have great, big things to offer.

So, what remarkable things will you do with your ordinary routine?
