5 ways to kick monday's butt
Mondays can suck. Let's be real.
Sometimes, it's tempting to throw the alarm clock out the window, go back to sleep, and dream of weekend plans and sick day excuses.
But today's not that day. Lace up the gloves. It's time to punch Monday in the face. Here's how:
1.) Make your bed as soon as you get up. Show Monday you’re the boss early & often. You will get things done today, even if it’s the small, simple stuff.
2.) Give the first person you see a high five. Positivity is infectious and a simple act to encourage someone else will set the tone for the rest of the day. Go ahead, gimme five!
3.) Thank God for whatever happens today. Even if you don’t feel like it, saying “thank you” knocks out resentment and invites gratitude into your day.
4.) Jam out to your favorite song. If you’re in the office, throw on your headphones and crank it up. Be ready to ignore the people watching you turn up the fun right in Monday’s face.
5.) Make one plan for the weekend. Deliver Monday the knockout blow by giving yourself something to look forward to and a reason to schedule out your week. Productive Mondays make for less stressful Fridays and puts the weekend back on the horizon.
